Hey guys--sorry for missing tonight's class, I had an unforseen family situation come up. I saw Dr.Almjeld's email about what all needs to get done by our group for the party--I was wondering how we want to divide that up/or if we want to do everything as a group, and if that is the case, when/where do we want to meet to get this all done.... if you guys could keep in touch with me over email ( clpeters@nmsu.edu) and let me know what the plan is, that'd be great! I'm able to work on things this weekend if anyone wantss to delegate a project that needs to get done. Sorry again bout tonight guys!

P.S Bryan--Press Release looks great!

Mission Statement:
When thinking about publicity for Din, the submission pool is essential. We thought narrowing down to the NMSU system for potential submitters is essential in branding and positioning the magazine for our readers -who may or may not be a part of the NMSU system. By focusing on a local community, we will create a niche that will allow for more effective publicity. In doing so, our efforts as a publicity team will be split in two important phases: call for submissions and gathering traffic for the magazine. In calling for sumbissions, we would use the NMSU radio station, newspaper, and other resources within the university system to spread the word about Din. Once that phase is over, we could use social networks such as Facebook to get traffic to the web magazine. Collaborating with the design and submissions teams is essntial in accomplishing these goals.

Idea: get a free ad in Puerto?
Blog roll on our page to get some traffic?

Tracking data for submissions page.
This capture doesn't show where they are coming from, but notably the online Roundup article sent 5 in just a few hours.
Twitter and email blasts also brought some.

I really like the idea of din existing in space (kinda related to recent readings.)
Not real, yet imaginary physical space. Here's my thought on it, but more can be done with the concept overall:
